ENFASYS GA 2025 Brussels highlights

On 24–26 June 2025, the ENFASYS consortium gathered in Brussels for its General Assembly, hosted across three engaging days of discussion, reflection, and strategic planning. Held at the Marie-Elisabeth Belpaire Building, the assembly brought together partners from across Europe to assess progress and sharpen the project’s focus on enabling real-world transitions to more sustainable farming systems.

First day began with an interactive session on impact pathways, where partners split into three thematic groups to explore how project results contribute to ENFASYS’s Expected Outcomes.

These sessions provided valuable opportunities for cross-partner dialogue and critical feedback on what’s needed to move from theoretical insights to actionable change.

Later in the day, we focused on:

  • Experimental studies: generating evidence on interventions that influence farmer behaviour

  • System Dynamics Models and their visualisation via the ENFASYS Web Tool

  • Designing Discrete Choice Experiments (DCEs) to prioritise behavioural drivers

  • Reflection on contributions to expected outcomes, focused on policy incentives for sustainability

  • Business Strategies & Social Innovation: We explored early results and next steps in designing supportive business models and advisory systems, contributing to EO6 on cross-sector collaboration and advice systems.

The day closed with the ENFASYS World Café, where breakout groups analysed outcomes from four case studies, strengthening links between research and real-life transitions.

Day 2 focused on internal planning, coordination, and next steps across work packages. Partners shared updates, discussed upcoming deliverables, and aligned their strategies for the next project phase.

We also reflected on the success of the ENFASYS science-policy workshop held the day before (24 June), which brought together EU policymakers, stakeholders, and researchers for an open exchange on how to co-design better policy frameworks for sustainable agriculture.

The General Assembly demonstrated the strength of collaboration within the ENFASYS consortium and reinforced our shared commitment to achieving long-term impact.

Stay tuned!
